How do I cite essays within a primary text?

I have a book that is mainly written by the person I am writing my essay on, but it includes essays from other sources. How would I go about citing them to distinguish between the primary and secondary information? Thank you

The Writing Centre, located on the 4th floor of the SLC, is the best place to get help with citation styles. They hold workshops on topics relating to citation, and students can also book one-on-one appointments with a tutor.

Handouts on citation styles are available in the Writing Centre and online (check under Academic Writing - Citation Conventions).

We also recommend using the OWL at Purdue - it is a great resource for citing in APA and MLA.
