Why has my login name been changed in RefWorks?

RefWorks is working to improve the login process, with the eventual plan of removing the group code. While in the past, names only had to be unique on an institutional basis, they now need to be unique across the system.

If someone else has the same login name as you and accesses RefWorks more frequently, you may have your login name reassigned (usually to your email address).

If you don't like your new login name, simply sign in with it once, then navigate to Update Profile from the top right-hand menu and change it:
