Can I add attachments to my references in RefWorks?

Answer

You can add an attachment (or multiple attachments) to any reference by selecting the Edit button:

Attachments can be documents, PDFs, spreadsheets, or pictures:

References that include attachments will be marked with a small paperclip:


By default, searches run in your RefWorks account will not search attachments to change this, select the paperclip next to the search box:

There is a 20 MB limit per attachment.

If your account is very large, it may not be possible to include attachments in a back-up of your account. We recommend no more than 75 attachments be added to an account.
