Q

I’d like to access the most recent year of content from an online journal, but it says it’s not available - why is that?

Answer

Some publishers restrict when the full-text content of their journals can be made available electronically - we call this the embargo period. Publishers do this to boost sales of print copies of these titles. The length of the embargo period varies from title to title. It can range from several days to many months or even years. The library cannot circumvent embargo periods.
