Answer

If you are in a Library database, the save option typically only saves the item for the duration of your browser session - it is not permanent.  In some cases, you can set up an account in a specific database that allows longer-term storage of the item.  There are also options to email article citations or pdfs to an email account, which is strongly encouraged.

If you need further assistance with this, please drop by and speak to someone at the Research Help Desk on the main floor of the library or try our live chat research help service, Ask a Librarian
